Sony Officially Announces a7R IIIA & a7R IVA with improved LCD displays

Sony has officially announced the updated a7R III and a7R IV models. The new full-frame mirrorless cameras are called Sony a7R IIIA (LCE-7RM3A) and Sony a7R IVA (ILCE-7RM4A).

As you see the updated A7rIII and A7rIV cameras now have an ‘a’ appended to their model numbers to differentiate them. We expect the pre-orders should be open soon at Adorama and B&H. More details after the break!

Here are some highlights from the the a7R III (model: ILCE-7RM3A) and a7R IV (model: ILCE-7RM4A)  product pages.

  • LCD screen resolution changed from 1.44 million dots to 2,359,296 dots
  • Both cameras are now compatible with USB 3.2 (SuperSpeed USB 5Gbps)
  • No Sony logo under the LCD screen (see above picture)
